Local Texts

A Local Text is automatically created for each seperate piece of text a Control can display when the Control is added to a Page. This not only includes the Text Control, but also any Control that might contain text, such as Button, Hyperlink, Table and Field Controls.

Texts are automatiacally creaed in the Studio's Preferred Language Id, which is set to en by default. This property can be configured by clicking File > Studio Preferences in the top menu and by opening the Studio Preferences dialog.

Local Texts can be reused throughout the same Form, but cannot be shared with other Forms.

Double-clicking on a text in the WYSIWYG View opens the Set Text... dialog where it can be edited or translated. You can also change the Text Reference used to another Local, Linked or System Text Reference. The text and any translations attached to the new Text Reference will be used instead and any changes to this Text Reference, for example, translations are added, will automatically applied.

The Text Maintenance dialog shows all Local Texts in the current Form and each can be edited and translated. This dialog is opened by clicking on the Text maintenace button on the Form editor's toolbar.
